AutoWeb, Inc. Launches Programmatic Search Platform for Auto Advertisers

AutoWeb, Inc. has launched an enhanced programmatic platform. AutoWeb's new platform enables specialized targeting to high-intent online car shoppers, while also allowing advertisers to optimize their campaigns efficiently. Automotive advertisers can now significantly increase their exposure to consumers within a particular geography, who have demonstrated desire to purchase specific makes and models. As a result, advertisers will be able to derive higher quality traffic, stronger conversion metrics and greater ROI. The platform will also allow AutoWeb to provide incremental monetization opportunities to publishers who wish to further leverage their traffic acquisition investments. The new platform allows advertisers to target consumers in a highly dynamic and programmatic way. AutoWeb advertisers are now able to automatically adjust their bids to improve listing page performance and frequency, while targeting bids on a more granular level including make, model, and zip code. Advertisers further benefit from device optimization, ensuring optimal results across computers, tablets and mobile phones. Additionally, advertisers can market more efficiently to their preferred consumer segments while publishers benefit from a more efficient marketplace for their ad inventory.

AutoWeb Appoints Charlie Schiavone as VP of Product

AutoWeb, Inc. appointed Charlie Schiavone as VP of Product. In this role, Schiavone is responsible for all aspects of AutoWeb's consumer facing website, industry-leading vehicle search engine and the design and development of AutoWeb's data sets. Schiavone has vast leadership experience in different industries as a senior executive, entrepreneur and author, ranging from commercial sales to data center management services. For ten years, Schiavone held a number of responsibilities at, including automotive content and data operations, electronic publishing, website operations, customer support and data syndication. Post Edmunds, Schiavone started his own online automotive content portal, Total Car Score. Most recently, building on his leadership experience in all aspects of vehicle data operations and major automotive portals, Schiavone helped build vehicle data projects at Autobytel.

AutoWeb Appoints Jeffrey Coats to the Board of Directors

Autobytel has an option to invest an additional $2.5 million as AutoWeb grows. As part of the agreement, AutoWeb has acquired the AutoWeb trademarks and domain name from Autobytel for $1.5 million in AutoWeb stock. Jeffrey Coats, President and Chief Executive Officer of Autobytel, has joined AutoWeb's Board of Directors.
