Investors Reportely Eyes Stake In Bakkavör

Sky News understands that PAI Partners Pamplona Capital Management LLP are two of the buyout groups which have lodged an interest in acquiring a large stake in Bakkavör Group Ltd. Their interest comes nine months after advisers at Barclays were appointed to find new owners for shares in Bakkavor which remain held by Icelandic banks as a hangover from the 2008 financial crisis. Barclays is hunting a buyer for the 25% of Bakkavor which is owned by Arion Banki, while other Icelandic institutions, including the Lífeyrissjódur verslunarmanna and the Gildi-lífeyrissjódur, which between them hold about 12% of Bakkavör, are also expected to participate in the share sale. Bakkavor, PAI and Pamplona declined to comment.
PE Firms Said To Be Eyeing Waterford Wedgwood

Waterford Wedgwood Plc may be sold. The company is being eyed by private equity (PE) buyers after its owners put it up for sale. According to the news report, Searchlight Capital Partners, Cinven Limited, and Pamplona Capital Management LLP are said to have expressed an interest in the business. Goldman Sachs is running an auction process for the company and is said to also be receiving interests from potential Chinese buyers. The news report added that Waterford Wedgwood is said to be hoping for a $650 million valuation.
Funds Reportedly Line Up Bids For Refresco Gerber

Refresco Gerber B.V. has attracted bids from three private equity funds valuing the business at around €1.5 billion, sources familiar with the process said. PAI Partners, Pamplona Capital Management LLP and Platinum Equity, LLC have emerged as the only bidders left in the second round of an auction, with a late February 2015 deadline, the sources said. Its adviser JPMorgan aims to wrap up the process in around a month, two of the sources said. A spokesman for PAI declined to comment while representatives at Refresco Gerber, Pamplona and Platinum were not immediately available for comment. A spokeswoman for JPMorgan declined to comment.
