Franklin Templeton May Reportedly Acquire Deutsche MF

Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) Private Limited (Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund) may acquire the Indian operations under Deutsche MF (Deutsche Asset Management (India) Private Limited). If the deal goes through, it will be the fourth exit of a foreign fund house in about a year. Sources told Business Standard that Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) Private Limited and Deutsche Asset Management (India) Private Limited are in an advanced stage of the due-diligence process. According to experts valuation could be between three and five. “We do not comment on market speculation,” said spokespersons at Franklin Templeton and Deutsche MF.
