ECP Africa Fund II PCC specializes in investments in telecom, natural resources, financial services, power and water, agribusiness, transportation, tourism and health care sectors. It typically invests in companies based in Africa including Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa. The fund seeks to invest between $15 million and $50 million in companies with a maximum of 20 percent of the fund's total size available per transaction. It seeks to invest in companies with enterprise values between $40 million and $500 million. It prefers to acquire majority or minority positions through equity, quasi-equity, and convertible debt instruments.
