Hearst Television announced that Dave Kaylor, longtime Director of Engineering at WCVB-TV, Hearst Television's ABC affiliate in Boston, has been appointed to a newly created assignment as Director of Veteran Recruiting for Hearst Television. The appointment, effective July 1, 2015. In this new role, Kaylor who served for four decades in the U.S. Navy, most recently as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve will assist Katherine Barnett, Hearst Television Vice President of Human Resources, with the expansion of the company's efforts to recruit veterans for open positions throughout the Hearst TV station group.

Hearst Television Inc. has appointed Cary Pahigian as president and general manager of its WBAL-AM and WIYY-FM radio stations serving the Baltimore, Maryland market. Pahigian joins Hearst from Saga Communications, for which he served as president and general manager of an eight-station radio group in Portland, Maine, including WMGX, WGAN and WPOR. Before Saga, Pahigian was vice president and general manager of Boch Broadcasting in Cape Cod, Mass. Previously, he served as vice president of operations with Sconnix Broadcasting in Vienna, Va., and as station manager for Boston radio powerhouse WBZ-AM and as program/operations manager at WIP in Philadelphia.
