Hortonworks Data Platform, based on 100% open source Apache(TM) Hadoop(R), serves as the foundation of Baynote VUE, a self-service merchandising application purpose-built to equip retail marketing teams with the tools needed to create personalized, revenue-generating online shopping experiences. Baynote VUE is the first application of its kind to combine the performance of a modern big data engine with the simplicity of a consumer-style interface that can be used by non-technical individuals. Hortonworks Data Platform enables Baynote VUE to scale over large datasets to quickly refine data from multiple sources, build predictive models for personalization and perform data aggregation.
