Amdocs, Inc. Key Developments

State Bank of India Selects Amdocs Inc.' Mobile Financial Services Solution

Amdocs Inc. has announced that State Bank of India, or SBI, has selected Amdocs' Mobile Financial Services solution to offer mobile financial services to India's unbanked and under-banked population, using the mobile network of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, or BSNL. The solution will be delivered under a five-year services contract. SBI and BSNL have come together to help the Indian government achieve its goal of providing banking services to 75 million households, including millions of households in rural India. The Amdocs Mobile Financial Services solution will enable SBI and BSNL to offer customers of any mobile operator in India the option of owning a mobile wallet account. As a result customers can take advantage of highly secure mobile banking services, such as money transfer and bill payment, as well as pay for airtime recharges. Furthermore, the solution will allow SBI and BSNL to support an extended ecosystem of multiple merchants and business correspondents (credit card companies, utility providers, employers) on the mobile network, enabling easy payment and top-up transfers to third parties. Amdocs' Mobile Financial Services solution also includes a dedicated set of services, spanning consulting, implementation, systems integration, software and hardware operation, and maintenance. Triotech will own the overall project management, including developing the end customer and retail application and portal, retail channel management and Tier 1 and 2 services.

Liberty Global Deploys Amdocs Compact Convergence Solution

Amdocs Inc. has announced that Liberty Global plc has deployed Amdocs Compact Convergence to support the operator's launch of mobile services in Hungary, Switzerland and Netherlands. Delivered by Amdocs under a managed services agreement, Liberty Global's deployment supports the company's expansion into quad-play, adding mobile services to its existing broadband, fixed line and Pay-TV offerings. With Hungary, Switzerland and Netherlands already live, Liberty Global has launched three national mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) on the single, multi-tenant platform, at low cost and with reduced time to market. Each MVNO can manage its own mobile service offerings; define product portfolio and tariffs while taking advantage of a common platform to speed delivery. Amdocs has integrated this MVNO platform with existing Amdocs business support systems (BSS) and interfaced to third-party BSS and customer-facing systems to provide Liberty Global with a single view of the customer and enable a single bill across all lines of business.

Telefonica Argentina Selects Amdocs to Manage BSS Applications

Amdocs Inc. has announced that Telefonica Argentina has selected Amdocs to manage its business support systems, or BSS, applications. The multi-year application management agreement covers key BSS areas including Amdocs billing and ordering solutions as well as interfaces to non-Amdocs legacy systems. This marks an expansion of Amdocs' relationship with Telefonica Argentina for the previously-announced wireline and wireless transformation projects, which aim to provide a seamless experience across all customer interaction channels. Under the new agreement, Amdocs will assume responsibility for managing, maintaining, configuring, testing and training across multiple Telefonica Argentina BSS systems, including interfaces to applications from third-party vendors - thus increasing Amdocs' role in the overall transformation, enabling Telefonica to focus on its core business activities.
