Crane Aerospace & Electronics Appoints Satair A/S as Authorized Distributor

Crane Aerospace & Electronics has appointed Satair A/S as an authorized distributor for the A320 Crane Landing Gear Control Interface Unit (LGCIU). Under the terms of the agreement, Satair A/S will serve as the exclusive distributor for the Crane LGCIU in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North and South America. The Crane LGCIU has been standard on all A320 family aircraft produced since October 2010. Satair will offer the enhanced LGCIU as a retrofit upgrade to customers with aircraft produced prior to October 2010.

Airbus and Satair Open Support and Distribution Center in Singapore

Airbus and Satair have opened their first joint parts support and distribution facility, Satair Airbus Singapore Centre (SASC), located at the Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore. The 16,700 square meter facility will serve customers in the Asia-Pacific region, consolidating the supply chain operations of both Airbus and Satair. Building on both companies' existing presence, SASC has the capacity to almost triple the scope of parts handled. The centre will become the primary spare parts hub for Airbus in the region, providing 24/7 support to airlines and MROs, 365 days a year. The opening consummates the merger of Airbus' former Material and Logistics Management function with Satair - which has now become one common organization.
