Kazakhstan To Reportedly Sell Stakes In 60 Firms

Kazakhstan's government is considering selling some or all of its stakes in 60 companies including Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation Limited (OTCPK:EURN.Y), Air Astana JSC, Joint stock Company Kazakhtelecom (KAS:KZTK) and Tau-Ken Samruk JSC, two sources close to the cabinet told Reuters. The government has a 40% stake in Eurasian Resources Group. Kazakhstan owns 51% of Air Astana and 52% of common stock in Kazakhtelecom. ERG had no immediate comment on the matter, Air Astana referred the query to Samruk Kazyna and Kazakhtelecom and Kazzinc could not be reached for comments.
