Ricoh USA, Inc. Announces New Black-And-White Devices
Mar 8 17
Ricoh USA, Inc. announced a series of black-and-white devices designed to address the crucial security, space and budgeting needs of acute, ambulatory and extended healthcare facilities. The RICOH MP 501SPFTL/SP 4510SFTE multifunction printers (MFPs) and RICOH SP 4510DNTE SP 5300DNTL printer series offer organizations powerful devices with security-enhanced firmware to help protect sensitive information. Each is equipped with a specially designed locked print tray, the unique built-in locked print tray that meets the stringent requirements to protect pre-printed prescription paper, standard. Additionally, the RICOH MP 501SPFTL and RICOH SP 5300DNTL are equipped with Teflon-enhanced print trays to help handle the specialized media healthcare providers rely on, such as wristbands and labels. Protecting regulated media and confidential patient information is a major concern for many healthcare facilities. These new Ricoh healthcare devices address these crucial concerns with their built-in locked trays that help keep specialized paper, such as pre-printed prescription paper, safe. These features maintain regulatory compliance without the need to invest in additional secure storage. Extra-secure firmware helps prevent unauthorized users from gaining access to regulated media, and an optional card authentication package allows only those permitted to access specific functions on the device. The RICOH MP 501SPFTL and RICOH SP 5300DNTL models can go a step further by leveraging Teflon-enhanced paper trays to allow wristband and label printing, which have been historically difficult to print on. Labels help keep important information and samples organized and identifiable for nurses' stations and phlebotomists, while wristbands are an integral part of the hospital admissions process and help ensure patient safety. Labels adhesive can accumulate on regular print trays, causing jamming and misfeeds. Teflon-coated trays help preventthis accumulation, but they have historically only been available on specialized label-printing devices. Thesenew devices eliminate the need for and cost of those specialized devices. The series' MFPs also boast a 10.1"-wide Smart Operation Panel and can use RICOH Smart Device Connector to make it easier for those who are authorized to move information quickly, easily and securely throughout organizations. Ideal for acute, ambulatory and extended healthcare facilities, the RICOH SP 4510DNTE/SP 4510SFTE/SP 5300DNTL/MP 501SPFTL can also be fitted with regular, non-locking paper trays for plain paper or preprinted forms. This flexibility, combined with the versatility of the Smart Operation Panel; the printing, copying and scanning power of the hardware; and the placement options afforded by the devices' size, creates a single device that can do the work traditionally expected from a larger fleet. As a result, healthcare facilities can leverage these devices to consolidate equipment, enabling them to get more done while taking up less space and spending less money on hardware and maintenance. Further boosting efficiency, this series prints 1,200 x 1,200 dpi quality and offers high page per minute (ppm) speeds with the 42-ppm RICOH SP 4510DNTE and SP 4510SFTE; 52-ppm RICOH SP 5300DNTL and RICOH MP 501SPFTL.
Ricoh USA Announces New Black-And-White Multifunction Printer Series
Feb 16 17
Ricoh USA, Inc. announced a new black-and-white multifunction printer (MFP) series that combines flexible information sharing capabilities with raw processing power and print speed. Aimed to affordably drive productivity and efficiency in today's new world of work, the RICOH MP 2555/MP 3055/MP 3555/MP 4055/MP 5055/MP 6055 MFPs are equipped with a variety of new finishing options. Additionally, the RICOH MP 2555, RICOH MP 3055 and RICOH MP 3555 models offer Single-Pass Document Feeder (SPDF) versions that scan two-sided documents in a single pass, doubling the duplex scan speed. Further aiding in productivity is the new, standard 10.1"-wide Super VGA Smart Operation Panel, which presents a user-friendly interface with access to customizable features and applications, helping to streamline both complex and everyday tasks. This latest Ricoh series features a variety of security, mobility and cloud printing options to better meet workplaces' specific needs. The 25-page-per-minute (ppm) RICOH MP 2555, 30-ppm RICOH MP 3055, 35-ppm RICOH MP 3555, 40-ppm RICOH MP 4055, 50-ppm RICOH MP 5055 and 60-ppm RICOH MP 6055 minimize risks with a wide range of security controls, such as User Authentication and optional near-field communication (NFC) or HID card readers. With Locked Print, jobs are held until the authorized user releases them, so sensitive information isn't left unattended for those passing by. Also, the hard disk drive includes powerful encryption protection, so users can share files with confidence, and a Data Overwrite Security System (DOSS) overwrites latent images on the hard drive for maximum data security. With the new 40, 50 and 60 ppm versions, users are now empowered to easily make booklets, tri-fold brochures and pamphlets by leveraging the new inner folder option built directly into the device, helping to minimize the overall footprint. The series also offers an optional hybrid finisher for automatic staple less stapling of documents with multiple pages. Standard PostScript emulation enables large, complex files to be printed more effortlessly and efficiently than before. The devices' built-in efficiency and reliability helps minimize total cost of ownership (TCO) and maximize system availability, making them a solid investment for small businesses and enterprises. Mobile access is easier than ever on this new Ricoh series, a simple download of the RICOH Smart Device Connector app to Android® or iOS® devices. This proven application enables users to share information and print without printer setup configurations or utilities. Information can be accessed directly from cloud storage applications, such as Google Drive™, Box™ or Dropbox™, and printed directly from the app. The latest version of the RICOH Smart Device Connector also allows for users to print emails and attachments. Originals can be scanned at the MFP and sent to a personal device or directly to cloud storage, so users can access or distribute them digitally at their convenience. Printing from AirPrint® and Mopria is also supported, and Android and iOS devices can connect with the MFP via Bluetooth (BLE). Additionally, Android devices can connect via NFC.
