American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) has released the names of those individuals appointed by the ATRI Board of Directors to serve on the 2017-2018 Research Advisory Committee (RAC). Scott Mugno, Vice President, Safety, Sustainability & Vehicle Maintenance of FedEx Ground, was appointed to serve as Chairman of the RAC. American Transportation Research Institute Announces Board Appointments

American Transportation Research Institute announced the appointment of several trucking industry CEOs to its board of directors. The appointments of David S. Congdon, vice chairman and CEO of Old Dominion Freight Line and Robert E. Low, president and CEO of Prime Inc. were made by ATRI Chairman Judy McReynolds, ArcBest Corporation Chairman, President and CEO. Mr. Congdon has been in the LTL business for the last 43 years serving in positions ranging from dockman to driver to director of safety to CEO. Mr. Low founded Prime Inc., headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, in 1970. Also joining the ATRI Board of Directors is Chris Spear, the new president and CEO of the American Trucking Associations.
American Transportation Research Institute Appoints Rich Mcardle to the Board of Directors

UPS Freight President Rich McArdle has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI). More recently, Rich served with UPS Corporate Public Affairs to oversee global operations policy including customs and cargo security matters. In early 2015, McArdle became Mid-Atlantic District Manager and continued in that role until being named Jack Holmes' successor as UPS Freight President in February, 2016. Jack Holmes served as a member of the ATRI Board of Directors from 2012 until early-2016.
