IDC Health Insights announced the appointment of Deanne Primozic Kasim to Research Director, responsible for research on Healthcare Payer IT Strategies. In this role, Deanne's coverage includes the evolving policy, cost, regulatory, and delivery issues of today's U.S. health care system, including the effects of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), health insurance exchange practices and payer organization contract terms, patient safety and outcome measurement tools and programs, and the operations of the Medicare and Medicaid programs. With more than 25 years of experience in the health care industry, Deanne also boasts an extensive knowledge of IT applications supporting various health care topics. Previously, Deanne co-founded and served as a managing partner at Santesys Solutions. Santesys helps private, public-sector, and non-profit organizations navigate the market, economic, regulatory, and IT waves of change throughout the health care delivery system. Prior to that, Deanne was the Director of Marketing at the Academy for Healthcare Management.
