Addvocate Inc. Appoints Piers Cooper as CEO; Launches New Employee Advocacy Platform, Addvocate 2

Addvocate announced the appointment of Piers Cooper as CEO. Cooper, a former Oracle executive, joined the company a little over a year ago as COO and was instrumental in building out the business, as well as guiding the company through its series A funding round. The company announced the launch of its SaaS based employee advocacy platform, Addvocate 2. This update includes new functionality that makes it easy for employees to consume and share content with their social networks. Addvocate 2 is a complete rebuild of the product. The interface has been modernized and streamlined, making it easy for users to interact with the platform. New and updated functionality includes: Feed: The new feed makes discovering and sharing content easy and fun. Posts include images and are sortable by user and group. Users now have more flexibility when posting and can determine where posts appear and who can see them. Marketers now have more flexibility when moderating users and groups, including the ability to suspend and delete posts. This provides control with content that might not be aligned with a company's brand identity. Browser extensions are now available for Chrome, Safari and Firefox. This makes it very easy for users to share content from anywhere they're browsing the web and consuming content. No more cutting and pasting links. Most of social media is consumed on the go. Addvocate's mobile app lets users be advocates for their company wherever they are. The new Directory feature enables a user to see content posted by another user.

Addvocate Unveils New Enterprise Social Sharing Platform

Addvocate announced v2 of the Addvocate social platform. The platform has been redesigned to be friendlier to new users, performance optimized, and implementing multitenancy for individual users and groups - optimized for companies with multiple brands and agencies. The company is also announcing an integration with Salesforce1 and plans to launch a mobile iOS app prior to the end of fourth quarter. Through the Salesforce1 integration, executives and staff alike can leverage the Addvocate platform to connect, share knowledge and take action across their personal social platforms. New features of the Addvocate v2 social platform include: user-friendly design to encourage coworkers to share social content; groups & multitenancy so individuals can reside in more than one brand account; the ability to utilize metrics to validate and recognize top performing employees; and consistent brand messaging via moderated content for specific people & groups.

Addvocate Closes Multiple Enterprise Deals, Adds Key Executives

Addvocate announced addition of three new executives to its rapidly expanding team. The hires include John Flynn as Vice President of Sales, Quang Vinh Tran as Head of Design, and Sheridan Gaenger as Director of Marketing. Flynn formerly served as Vice President of Sales at Berkeley, Calif.-based Industrial Logic Inc. Tran is the former Head of Design for Misfit Wearables, Redwood City, Calif., which was co-founded by former CEO of Apple Inc., John Sculley. Gaenger joins Addvocate from, where she was Analyst Relations & Online Marketing Manager.
