Interjet Announces New Routes Between Canada and Mexico

Interjet is introducing service from Canada to Mexico this summer. Starting July 13, 2017, Interjet will fly nonstop between Montréal's–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and Mexico City's Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez as well as between Montréal and Cancun International Airport. Interjet'sMontréal services will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft with 150 seats. The initial schedule will be for three frequencies per week at convenient departure times.

Interjet Launches New Service Between Mexico City and Chicago

The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) announced Interjet to O'Hare International Airport on November 17, 2016. Interjet now offers daily nonstop service between Mexico City and Chicago. The Mexico City-Chicago route has two daily flights operated on Airbus A-320s with a 150-seat capacity.

Interjet In Talks To Sell Shares In Its Business To Either American Airlines Or United Continental

ABC Aerolineas, S.A. de C.V. is in talks to sell a share in its business to American Airlines Group Inc. (NasdaqGS:ALL) or United Continental Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:UAL) said Miguel Aleman Velasco the president of Interjet.This would give Interjet extra funds to compete with Volaris, Mexico's second largest airline. Interjet wants to increase its plane fleet to 90 by 2018.
