The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) announced new officers and members to the ACC 2016 board of directors. 2016 ACC board of directors include general counsel and chief legal officers representing Fortune 100, Fortune 500 and Global 1000 corporations. The 2016 officers are: Sabine Chalmers, chief legal and corporate affairs officer, Anheuser-Busch InBev (chair), Iohann Le Frapper, chief legal officer, Gulf Bridge International (vice-chair), William Mordan, executive vice president, general counsel and company secretary, Shire (treasurer), Mary E. Kennard, vice president and general counsel, American University (secretary). Additionally, new directors include: Sharon Barner, vice president and general counsel, Cummins Inc., Renee D. Benjamin, senior counsel, CalPortland Company, Mike Madden, group general counsel, Record Holdings Pty Ltd, Anneliese Reinhold, general counsel and senior vice president of legal and regulatory affairs, du, Nicolle Schippers, corporate counsel, ARAG North America Inc., Maarten Scholten, senior vice president and general counsel, Total S.A., and Jeffrey W. Wheeler, vice president, general counsel and secretary, TriCenturion Inc.
Nicolle Schippers to Join Association of Corporate Counsel Board of Directors

ARAG announced that ARAG Corporate Counsel Nicolle Schippers was invited to become a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Board of Directors. Schippers has been an active, committed member of ACC, currently serving as Chair of the Council of Committees and on the board of the ACC Iowa Chapter. Schippers will begin serving her three-year term on the board of directors this October. Schippers has served as Corporate Counsel for ARAG since 2007. Prior to ARAG, Schippers worked as a corporate consultant for Nationwide Agribusiness Insurance Company and also served five years in the Air Force as a Judge Advocate General (JAG), during which time she held the roles of criminal prosecutor, family law attorney, claims and tax attorney and defense counsel.
Association of Corporate Counsel Appoints John Page as Chair of the Board of Directors

The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) announced that John Page, senior vice president, chief corporate social responsibility officer and chief legal officer at Golden State Foods Corp., was appointed chair of the ACC board of directors. Page assumed his new role as chairman during the 2014 ACC Annual Meeting in New Orleans.
Page joined ACC in 2000 and joined Golden State Foods Corp. in 2004. He has served on the ACC board of directors since 2009. Earlier in his career, Page practiced as a commercial litigator, then worked in the legal departments of Lucent Technologies and Avaya Inc., both in New Jersey. From 2012 to 2013, Page served as president of the National Bar Association. David R. Allgood, executive vice president and general counsel for Royal Bank of Canada, preceded Page as chair of the ACC board of directors.
