Tailwater Capital LLC Key Developments

Tailwater Capital Seeks Acquisitions

At a time when many energy companies are struggling to survive, Tailwater Capital LLC stands poised with millions in cash ready to buy. All this oil price volatility has been good for Tailwater, which manages $1.4 billion from The Crescent office tower in Uptown Dallas. About $700 million of that is ready to spend on new acquisitions or to grow its existing portfolio of companies.

TexStar Midstream Services Reportedly Up For Sale

TexStar Midstream Services, LP, owned by EIG Global Energy Partners and Tailwater Capital, is exploring a sale reported Bloomberg citing people with knowledge of the matter. The people, who asked not to be named because the process is private, said that Evercore Partners Inc. is working with TexStar Midstream on finding suitors. The people added that Evercore has begun sending marketing materials to potential buyers, and first-round bids are due by the end of August 2013. People added that TexStar, which gathers and processes natural gas in the Eagle Ford Shale of South Texas, may attract interest from energy companies looking to expand in that region. Representatives at Evercore and EIG declined to comment. Officials at Tailwater and TexStar didn’t reply to requests for comment.
