Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. Unveils Windows 10 Tablet
Jul 2 15
Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. has unveiled a Windows 10 tablet, an eight-inch diagonal mobile retail solution, and new capabilities and updates to HP Touchpoint Manager, its IT management solution for small and medium businesses. The company also announced new independent software vendors (ISVs) and partners across the aviation and retail industries to continue to build out HP's business-first approach to mobility. The HP Pro Tablet 608 offers purpose-built business mobility with a stunning 8-inch diagonal HD screen, high performance and impressive productivity with Windows 10. The tablet provides great audio support for Cortana and videoconferencing, and includes advanced security features that build on the new OS, making it the perfect mobile productivity companion for busy travelers and executives. Thin and light at just 8.35 mm and under 1 lb., the tablet delivers a premium viewing experience indoors and out with its 2048 x 1536 high resolution display that automatically adjusts to lighting conditions. The 4:3 aspect ratio is optimized for working with business productivity apps, providing 35% more viewing area than 16:9 displays for more natural readability of full-page content. The Pro Tablet 608 has a full Windows Professional experience with up to eight hours of battery life. Designed with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and a metal-reinforced chassis, this tablet endured more than 120,000 hours of durability testing. Productivity is enabled in the office and at the work site with dual-band WLAN ac/b/g/n and a choice of optional 3G or 4G WWAN. Dual front-facing stereo speakers, dual microphones, DTS Studio Sound and noise-cancelling software are paired with a front-facing 2 MP camera for superb web conferencing, even in noisy public areas like airports or hotels. An 8 MP camera provides high-definition image capture, important in industries such as insurance or real estate. The Pro Tablet 608 also offers a form factor for industry-specific use cases that require something smaller than larger tablet offerings to deliver great customer service and improved operational efficiency. The HP Pro Tablet Mobile Retail Solution is a durable case that combines with the new 8-inch diagonal tablet to accommodate a range of third-party mobile payment terminals, including EMV, NFC, MSR, and most digital wallets. HP Pro Tablet 608 G1 is expected to be available with Windows 8.1 Pro in July starting at $479. The Pro Tablet 608 will ship pre-installed with Windows 10 starting in August. The HP Pro Tablet Mobile Retail Solution is expected to be available in October. The July 2015 HP Touchpoint Manager Service Update will be available in July. Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. Announces New Series of LaserJet Printers
Mar 18 15
Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. has announced a new series of LaserJet printers. Built around the latest in toner formulation - new Original HP Toner cartridges with JetIntelligence - the HP LaserJets use up to 53% less energy, take up to 40% less space and wake up, print and duplex in a fraction of the time. Original HP Toner cartridges with JetIntelligence deliver up to 33% more professional-quality prints, peak printing performance, and protection against counterfeits with innovative anti-fraud technology. With its durable shell and soft core, ColorSphere 3 toner offers consistently glossy, professional-quality results and is specifically designed to keep up with the high-speed performance of HP LaserJet printers and MFPs. Despite having a more durable shell, the new toner's soft core melts at a much lower temperature requiring far less heat to melt. The result is higher page yields from a more compact and energy-efficient printer. The toner cartridge has been re-engineered to work smarter than ever before, delivering more pages with fewer interventions. Page maximizer technology delivers more pages per cartridge than previous generations with less internal wear. In addition, print gauge technology intelligently predicts toner levels, helping IT managers get the most out of each toner cartridge. With anti-fraud technology built into every JetIntelligence toner cartridge customers have more protection that easily identifies counterfeit cartridges and enforces customer-initiated anti-theft and office-wide printing policies to manage cost and quality standards. HP also makes cartridge installation easier than ever with the new auto seal removal. New HP JetAdvantage Private Print helps prevent unauthorized access to confidential print jobs and reduces waste from misprinted jobs. Each print job is securely stored in the cloud until the user authenticates and claims the job from the printer. HP JetAdvantage Private Print also features support for HP Common Card Reader for fast authentication, as well as a mobile app available on iOS and Android devices to manage and print from tablets and smartphones for added convenience. New HP LaserJet printers and MFPs feature a smaller footprint, easier set up and installation as well as up to 40% faster printing from sleep versus competitors. New products include: HP Color LaserJet Pro M252 series; HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277 series; and HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M552 and M553 series. HP Color LaserJet Pro M252 series is compact and energy efficient. Up to 33% smaller than competitive devices, the new series is built to meet the needs of a small workgroup, streamlining workflow with mobile printing options and fastest first page out in its class. The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277 series is the smallest laser MFP and offers the fastest 2-sided printing in its class, enabling a growing team to speed through tasks with a range of productivity and workflow features. The HP Color LaserJet Enterprise M552 and M553 series is ideal for larger workgroups of five to 15 users printing up to 6,000 pages per month. Helping save IT managers time and money, the series prints at high speed while achieving the lowest total energy consumption and fastest double-sided printing speeds in its class. They are also the first to include Google Cloud Print 2.0 supporting Google's new local printing standard for Chromebooks and Chrome OS applications.
