Kelley Drye & Warren LLP announced that John Dellaportas has joined the firm as a partner and co-chair of the Securities Litigation and Enforcement practice group. Mr. Dellaportas brings over two decades of experience representing clients in high-stakes commercial disputes, securities litigation and arbitration matters. Mr. Dellaportas is a preeminent securities litigator with a proven track record of success. In 2012, Mr. Dellaportas acted as lead trial counsel to Bruce Bent, co-inventor of the money market fund, and his son Bruce Bent II, in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) civil enforcement action against them. Following a month-long trial, a federal jury rendered a unanimous verdict clearing the Bents of all SEC and securities fraud charges.

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP has elected three new partners and promoted eight to special counsel, effective July 1, 2016. The new partners, and their practice groups, are: James F. Jacobus, Real Estate. Mr. Jacobus focuses on real estate finance and the capital markets. He has represented U.S. and European investment banks, commercial banks and other institutional lenders in a wide variety of real estate finance transactions. Mr. Jacobus has experience in the origination, securitization and syndication of commercial mortgage loans, mezzanine loans and construction loans and loan participations, syndications and other co-lender arrangements. Mr. Jacobus' experience includes the origination of mortgage loans secured by various classes of property including office, light industrial/warehouse, retail, hotel, casino, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, large pools of leased single family residential properties and multifamily. Andrew H. Lee, Tax. Mr. Lee focuses on tax issues and has experience with a wide range of federal, state and local tax matters, including matters arising in connection with mergers and acquisitions, financings, matters involving affiliated groups of corporations, cross-border transactions and transfer pricing. Mr. Lee regularly provides advice to telecommunications service providers, including in connection with the purchase and sale of such service providers. Mr. Lee also frequently represents telecommunications service providers before state and local taxing authorities in connection with tax audits and appeals. Kristi L. Wolff, Advertising and Marketing. Kelley Drye & Warren LLP Names William A. Reinsch as Senior International Trade and Government Relations Advisor

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP announced that William A. Reinsch has joined the firm as senior international trade and government relations advisor. Mr. Reinsch brings over four decades of experience in designing and enforcing international trade policy both as a senior-level Capitol Hill staffer and as a leader in the private sector. Previously, Mr. Reinsch served as president of the National Foreign Trade Council (NFTC). Prior to joining the NFTC, Mr. Reinsch served as the Under Secretary for Export Administration in the U.S. Department of Commerce. As head of the Bureau of Export Administration (now the Bureau of Industry and Security), he administered and enforced the export control policies of the U.S. government, as well as its antiboycott laws. Subsequently, during his 15 year tenure at the NFTC, he concurrently served as a member of the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission.
