SiTime Corporation introduced two families of ultra-robust AEC-Q100-qualified MEMS oscillators. The SiT2024/25 and SiT8924/25 oscillators deliver the high performance and best robustness and are designed for ASIL (Automotive Safety Integrity Level) compliant automotive applications such as advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), in-vehicle Ethernet, power train and electronic control units (ECUs). These precision devices are engineered to solve long-standing timing problems in telecommunications and networking equipment. With the Elite Platform, communications equipment can deliver the performance, best reliability and quality of service, even in the presence of environmental stressors. Elite timing solutions are based on an innovative DualMEMS™ architecture with TurboCompensation. This architecture delivers exceptional dynamic performance with three key elements: obust, reliable, and proven TempFlat MEMS that eliminates activity dips and enables 30 times better vibration immunity than quartz; DualMEMS temperature sensing with 100% accurate thermal coupling that enables 40 times faster temperature tracking, which ensures the best performance under airflow and rapid temperature changes; and ly integrated mixed-signal circuits with on-chip regulators, a TDC (temperature to digital converter) and a low-noise PLL that deliver 5 times better immunity to power-supply noise, 30 uK temperature resolution that is 10 times better than quartz, and support for any frequency between 1 and 700 MHz.

Avnet, Inc. Announces Distribution Agreement with SiTime Corporation

Avnet, Inc. announced a distribution agreement with SiTime Corporation, Avnet will offer SiTime’s MEMS oscillators in the Americas and Asia, excluding Japan. SiTime offers MEMS-based silicon timing solutions that can replace legacy quartz products, providing greater performance, programmability, simplified board layout and reduced cost. SiTime’s product line includes 60 base product families and over 200,000 individual parts.
