SiTime Corporation Key Developments

Sitime Corporation Introduces Two Families of Ultra-Robust AEC-Q100-Qualified MEMS Oscillators

SiTime Corporation introduced two families of ultra-robust AEC-Q100-qualified MEMS oscillators. The SiT2024/25 and SiT8924/25 oscillators deliver the high performance and best robustness and are designed for ASIL (Automotive Safety Integrity Level) compliant automotive applications such as advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), in-vehicle Ethernet, power train and electronic control units (ECUs). The automotive industry is going through a massive transformation, with new features such as advanced safety and driver assistance systems, electrification, automation and real-time big data analytics. The usage of electronic components in automobiles is increasing rapidly and requires stringent levels of quality, reliability and performance. SiTime's new automotive product families offer a unique combination of the widest frequency range, tightest stability at ±20 ppm and the best reliability. The SiT2024/25 oscillators are optimized for under-the-hood systems such as engine control, transmission control, active suspension control, electronic steering and other ECUs. These oscillators are available in a SOT23-5 leaded package to enable visual inspection and the best solder joint reliability, especially in hot and cold environments.

Sitime Corporation Introduces Elite Platform Encompassing Super-TCXOs (Temperature Compensated Oscillators) and Oscillators

SiTime Corporation introduced an Elite Platform encompassing Super-TCXOs (temperature compensated oscillators) and oscillators. These precision devices are engineered to solve long-standing timing problems in telecommunications and networking equipment. With the Elite Platform, communications equipment can deliver the performance, best reliability and quality of service, even in the presence of environmental stressors. Elite timing solutions are based on an innovative DualMEMS™ architecture with TurboCompensation. This architecture delivers exceptional dynamic performance with three key elements: obust, reliable, and proven TempFlat MEMS that eliminates activity dips and enables 30 times better vibration immunity than quartz; DualMEMS temperature sensing with 100% accurate thermal coupling that enables 40 times faster temperature tracking, which ensures the best performance under airflow and rapid temperature changes; and ly integrated mixed-signal circuits with on-chip regulators, a TDC (temperature to digital converter) and a low-noise PLL that deliver 5 times better immunity to power-supply noise, 30 uK temperature resolution that is 10 times better than quartz, and support for any frequency between 1 and 700 MHz.
