Allens Appoints Nicholas Ng as a Partner in Brisbane Office, Effective November 1, 2014

Allens has appointed infrastructure specialist Nicholas Ng as a partner in the firm's Brisbane office. Mr. Ng has been involved in some of the most significant infrastructure projects in Australia and New Zealand, including the sale of Queensland Motorways, the refinancing of the Sydney Desalination Plant, the Legacy Way tunnel, the Forrestfield Airport Link Project and the Wiri Men's Prison Project in New Zealand. Mr. Ng will begin as a partner on 1 November. He is working on major Public Private Partnership projects in New South Wales and New Zealand and is part of the Allens team involved in opportunities stemming from state asset recycling programs.

Allens Announces Executive Appointments

Allens promoted three lawyers to its partnership, Ho Chi Minh City-based Linh Bui, Peter Haig and Kate Towey in Sydney. Bui advises companies on foreign investment matters in Vietman with a focus on food and beverage and oil and gas sectors. Haig specialises in class actions, regulatory investigations and dispute resolution. Towey works on M&A and equity markets transactions. The promotions are in addition to the lateral hire of financial services partner Michelle Levy, who joins Allens in June from King Wood & Mallesons' Sydney office.
