Go Airlines (India) Ltd. will decide on the mode of capital infusion in calendar year 2017, the year that will mark the beginning of an aggressive expansion in domestic operations besides the launch of international operations lined up by the Wadia Group company. It has kept all options, including an initial public offering (IPO) and a strategic partnership, open. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, Chief Executive Officer of Go Airlines (India) Ltd. said,"Companies like us must look at funds to finance this whole thing (referring to the proposed expansion) because the airline will be four-five times bigger than today. There are many possible ways of doing this. It can be an IPO or other ways of capital injection into the company. All options are open and we are not in any rush. We prepare ourselves and when the time is ripe we decide which way to go,"

GoAIR Plans For An IPO Likely Next Year

Go Airlines (India) Ltd., part of the Wadia Group is planning to go for an initial public offer by the end of FY17-18. SBI caps, Kotak Mahindra, Edelweiss and Motilal Oswal hired to manage the offer.

Go Air Announces Executive Changes

Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, the CEO of Go Air has been promoted as its Managing Director. Prock-Schauer will now become a member of the company's board. He will retain his post of CEO in Go Air and share that of MD with Jeh Wadia who is currently in that position.
