AAA of Northern California, Nevada and Utah Plans to Open a New Call Center

AAA of Northern California, Nevada and Utah announced plans to open a new call center that will bring nearly 600 new jobs to Clearfield, Utah. Set to be open as early as April 2015 and be fully operational by January 2016, the Member Service Center will dispatch roadside service technicians to 4.2 million AAA members, including nearly 200,000 in Utah. When the Member Service Center opens, employees will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond quickly to AAA members who request road service for problems such as dead batteries, flat tires, or other automotive emergencies. AAA responds to about 2.5 million emergency road service calls annually, with a total annual call volume reaching nearly 3.5 million. The Member Service Center will be located at 888 South 2000 East in Clearfield and will house call-center operations in 55,000 square feet of a two-story office campus.

Tim Condon has been named President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AAA Northern California. The new role is effective March 10, 2014. Most recently, Condon served more than four years as the CEO of the British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA) in Canada. Interim co-CEO's Marc Loupe and Siobhan McFeeney will resume their full-time focus as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer respectively.
AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah Adds Commercial Policies to Line of Insurance Products

AAA Northern California, Nevada and Utah is expanding from its lineup of personal products with the introduction of commercial insurance. Now, a AAA NCNU member can insure his or her business through the same agent with whom they currently insure their home and auto. AAA NCNU has partnered with Lighthouse Risk & Insurance Solutions to provide insurance for small- and medium-sized businesses. AAA NCNU branch agents now offer three types of commercial insurance: business owner policies (BOP), commercial auto insurance and office and rental building insurance through partnerships with Fireman's Fund, Travelers and other insurance companies. The company's partner, Lighthouse Risk, works closely with agents to handle more complex policies. AAA NCNU will be rolling out this new product line in a phased approach and expects it to be completely rolled out by 2014. The company has offered insurance since 1914 beginning with auto, then adding home in 1974 and life in 1998.
