Goa Shipyard Limited along with Uttam (Bharat) Electricals Private Limited and Bharat Dynamics Limited had showed interest in Goa Auto Accessories Limited factory which included sheet metal machinery and equipment. Sidhart Kunkalienkar, Chairman, Economic Development Corporation of India confirmed that talks were in the final stages with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited to take over EDC Ltd's 100% stake. "The discussions began three to four months ago and are a continuous process. They will only repair engines," Kunkalienkar added. Safran SA (ENXTPA:SAF) is the company behind the M88 engine in the Rafale fighter jet and the Shakti engine for Indian advanced light helicopters.
