Hang w/ Introduces Live Broadcast Digital Tipping
Oct 13 15
Hang w/announced that Apple has approved its new technology allowing users to tip each other in micro payments on the Hang w/platform. The tipping mechanism is being rolled out for both iOS and Android users. The Hang w/app connects users through interactive live-streaming video, allowing anyone with an iPhone, iPad, Android device or desktop computer to broadcast live to a potential audience of millions of viewers around the globe. The new tipping mechanism within the application allows for a user to tip publicly and allow other viewers to see - or to tip privately so that only the broadcaster knows who gave the tip. Tips can be made during a live broadcast in increments of one coin, two coins, ten coins, forty-two coins, or one hundred coins. Coins are valued at approximately $0.10 each, and the recipient keeps the larger percentage. Recipients can then redeem their tips for cash, or use the coins within the Hang w/platform to purchase Digital Ticketed content, or even re-tip another user. Tipping is the third monetization option for users of Hang w/. The platform allows users to monetize their broadcasts through advertising and share in the revenue from ads that are displayed before and after their broadcasts. The platform also recently announced the ability for users to create their own mobile live Pay-Per-View events using the platform's Digital Ticket system.
Hang w/ Enhances Pay-Per-View Digital Ticketing Platform
Sep 29 15
Hang w/, subsidiary of MEDL Mobile Holdings announced that after only a month of controlled beta testing Hang w/has enhanced its Digital Ticketing Platform with an added set of features enabling users to create live "Pay-Per-View" events with nothing more than a mobile device. The Hang w/app connects users through interactive live-streaming video, allowing anyone with an iPhone, iPad, Android device or desktop computer to broadcast live to a potential audience of millions of viewers around the globe. The latest version of the app gives users the ability to zoom in and out while broadcasting - providing the best possible views. The Digital Ticket feature allows users to set a price against their live broadcasts and promote them in the run up to filming. Viewers can purchase the Digital Tickets using an in-app coin system. In its beta phase, this revolutionary application of live streaming has been further enhanced to allow for easier creation of Digital Tickets and better promotion of the tickets themselves. Users can now promote the ticket to their followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram from directly within the Hang w/app.
Hang w/ Collaborates with Trace Live Network to Create Seamless, End-To-End, User Generated Live Content Platform
Sep 24 15
Hang w/announced that Hang w/will collaborate with TRACE Live Network to embed Hang w/live-streaming into its revolutionary ‘auto-follow’ drones. Consumers who purchase TRACE devices will be able to broadcast live directly to the Hang w/platform - right out of the box. The TRACE FLYr (auto-follow drone), designed for aerial video capture, will autonomously track and record its user in action – based on their unique visual signature. TRACE's FOLLOWr (360 degree rotating tripod gimbal) will allow a Hang w/user to set up the device in a central location and have all of their individual action followed, recorded and live-streamed. Other TRACE auto-follow devices in development include a rugged ATV style car for ground-based capture as well as a submersible for underwater video creation. The companies plan to integrate Hang w/connectivity into the TRACE technology; to feature TRACE captured footage prominently on the Hang w/platform; and to collaborate for the purposes of product innovation; marketing; and business development.
