Infinio Announces Accelerator 3.0 Brings Exceptional Performance to VMware-based Environments
Jun 13 16
Infinio announced the general availability of Accelerator 3.0, bringing raw performance of 1,000,000 IOPS, 20GB/sec throughput and 80 µs response time to VMware datacenters. Built on vSphere APIs for IO Filtering, Accelerator is certified as VMware Ready, and operates with VMware Storage Policy-Based Management. This release furthers Infinio’s reputation for delivering high performance storage acceleration for VMware environments. Accelerator 3.0 can serve the needs both of organizations looking to deliver never before seen storage performance for next-generation applications supporting financial, healthcare, and scientific industries; as well as help IT departments with more traditional needs of back-office databases, enterprise applications, and virtual desktops dramatically reduce storage costs. Also available in this release are several other features: Support for SSDs and Flash devices enhances Infinio’s memory-centric design with a tiered architecture that combines the speed of RAM with the larger sizes of flash; VM-level acceleration enables architects to target the priority applications with the best performance resources; and Increased platform support for all VMware storage types, including SAN, NAS, and DAS hardware supporting Virtual Machine File System, Virtual SAN, and vSphere Virtual Volumes, enabling a variety of customers to benefit from Infinio.
Tech Data Corporation Adds Infinio Data Center Solutions to AIS Offering
Nov 10 15
Tech Data Corporation has added Infinio Systems Inc. to its AIS portfolio in the U.S. Infinio provides storage solutions for resellers seeking to solve data center challenges for their customers. Infinio's unique architecture offers the efficiency of a global, content-based system, the flexibility of a content-addressable system, and fills a gap in the market for an operationally non-disruptive, software-only solution to storage performance problems.
Infinio Systems, Inc. Increases VMware Collaboration with Addition to VMware Partner Verified and Supported Product Program
Jul 15 15
Infinio Systems Inc. announced that it has been added to the VMware Partner Verified and Supported Product program. This inclusion advances deployments of Infinio Accelerator in VMware vSphere® environments, and helps extend the quality of customer support. The VMware Partner Verified and Supported Product program validates third-party virtualization technologies and improves support through heightened collaboration with VMware. Infinio, which uses server-side memory distributed across hosts to create a global storage cache, is a VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP), a member of the VMware Host Extensions program and supporter of Common Information Model (CIM) interfaces. Inclusion in the PVSP program helps Infinio's interoperability with vSphere versions 5.0, 5.1 and 5.5, as well as upcoming versions. Customers of Infinio and VMware can utilize this interoperability to support their businesses as they scale. The addition to the VMware Partner Verified and Supported Product program coincides with the Infinio 2.0 release, which broadens its platform support to include block storage devices such as Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage arrays. To support these new platforms, Infinio 2.0 interoperates with vSphere via VMware's PSA multi-pathing framework; Infinio's PSP Plug-in provides traditional multi-pathing capabilities while enabling a low latency I/O intercept mechanism. In tandem, Infinio’s content-addressable, deduplicated memory store continues to run in a rich virtual appliance environment. This unique hybrid kernel-integrated/virtual appliance architecture eliminates the trade-offs between performance and resource allocation. VMware employs high standards for its customer support capabilities and the organizations it adds to the PVSP program, conducting a thorough audit of each member and its services. The PVSP program enables partners to create and offer new and emerging solutions that cannot be certified through any of the existing VMware certification programs. In this program, partners verify their product offering using VMware's guidelines, and provide direct support to customers. As a PVSP partner, Infinio will continue to work with VMware to deliver high-access storage performance for VMware hypervisors and guarantee compatibility between the Infinio Accelerator and vSphere while upholding the quality of these standards for partners and customers.
