Endace Limited Key Developments

Endace Announces Partnership with Plixer to Deliver Enhanced Deep-Dive Security Forensics

Endace announced a partnership with Plixer. The partnership provides integration between Plixer's Scrutinizer, flow-based analysis solutions, and EndaceProbe high-performance Network Recorders to improve the ability for SecOps and NetOps teams to investigate network security and performance issues faster and more accurately. Using Flow-based data, Scrutinizer delivers deep insight into user, application and network device behavior and improves real-time situational awareness for SecOps and NetOps teams. Scrutinizer's built-in Flow Analytics performs behavioral analysis on collected flows to identify suspicious behavior on the network. EndaceProbes, deployed across the network, capture and record a 100% accurate record of network traffic, providing a full, packet-level back-in-time history of network activity that is a perfect complement to Scrutinizer's flow based monitoring and alerting. Integration between EndaceProbes and Scrutinizer allows users to pivot from an event of interest in the Scrutinizer UI directly to the related packets recorded on EndaceProbes. Packets of interest can be retrieved from the EndaceProbes seamlessly from within the Scrutinizer user interface, allowing immediate, packet-level examination using Wireshark, EndacePackets or other packet-level analysis tools.

Endace Announces Availability its Ultra-Fast Endaceprobe 8100 Series Network Ecorders

Endace announced the availability of its ultra-fast EndaceProbe 8100 Series Network ecorders. The new 8100 Series can capture and store network traffic at a sustained rate of 40 gigabits per second (Gbps) and is designed to provide ultra-high-speed monitoring and recording for the forensic investigation of network security breaches and performance issues. DDOS attacks are often used to camouflage simultaneous attack activity, such as malware installation or data exfiltration. They can overwhelm monitoring systems, flooding them with so much traffic that they fail completely under the load, or generate so many alerts it becomes impossible to see what other concurrent activity may be taking place. The high-performance 8100 Series EndaceProbes not only support sustained 40Gbps recording, but also allow multiple users to data mine and analyze that traffic at the same time. This ensures security teams can continue to access and investigate recorded traffic—even during events such as DDOS attacks when their other monitoring systems may be overwhelmed. The new 8100 Series is the first product on the market advanced enough to record traffic from high-speed 40/100GbE networks without loss. It can capture traffic at high speed without losing packets, and can write captured data to disk at speeds sufficient to cope with high traffic loads.

Endace Unveils EndaceProbe Deep Storage Network Recorders for Data Breach and Security Incident Analysis

Endace announced the availability of its updated EndaceProbe 9000 Series Network Recorders. The new 9000-XS Series EndaceProbe models extend storage capacity for capturing and recording network traffic to enable detailed, back-in-time forensic analysis of data breaches and security incidents. With the frequency, severity and cost of data breaches on the increase globally, and threats becoming ever more sophisticated, an accurate history of network activity is rapidly becoming a critical requirement for responding to security incidents. Multiple EndaceProbes can be connected to form a distributed, network-wide monitoring and recording fabric capable of delivering 100% accurate capture and storage of network traffic on even the fastest, busiest networks. With up to 192TB of storage on each appliance, the new EndaceProbe 9000-XS Series network recorders provide a highly scalable network recording solution, offering Petabytes of clustered and/or distributed storage, capable of storing weeks, or even months, of back-in-time history. Security analysts can use this historical information to accurately identify, investigate, quantify and resolve network and security incidents such as data breaches with nanosecond accuracy. EndaceVision, the browser-based network visualization tool bundled with every EndaceProbe, offers centralized search and retrieval of network history across an entire monitoring fabric. Easily integrated with applications such as Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Network Performance Management (NPM) tools, EndaceVision allows analysts to pivot from security alerts and other events directly to the relevant packets captured by EndaceProbes. This enables fast, accurate root cause analysis and reduces the time required to investigate network security or performance issues and distinguish false positives from real issues. The depth of storage offered by EndaceProbe 9000-XS Series Network Recorders makes them ideal as a cost-effective "always-on" packet capture and storage solution that ensures organizations always have an accurate record of all network activity. This improves the productivity of security teams, enhances the capability of IDS and SIEM tools, and ensures a detailed history of activity is recorded and available for back-in-time investigation and event reconstruction in the event of a data breach.
