Louis Dreyfus Commodities B.V. reported consolidated earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2015. For the period, the company reported net sales of $26,393 million compared to $33,686 million a year ago. Income before tax was $177 million compared to $315 million a year ago. Net income attributable to owners of the company was $130 million compared to $260 million a year ago. Net cash from operating activities was $396 million compared to net cash used in operating activities of $1,163 million a year ago. Louis Dreyfus Commodities announced that Margarita Louis-Dreyfus, currently Chairperson of Louis Dreyfus Holding, has been appointed Non-Executive Chairperson of the Louis Dreyfus Commodities Group Supervisory Board, effective October 1, 2015. Margarita Louis-Dreyfus succeeds Serge Schoen, who has held the executive chairmanship since September 2013. Serge Schoen will serve as Deputy Chairman of the Louis Dreyfus Commodities Group Supervisory Board and join Louis Dreyfus Holding. Commodities Group Supervisory Board and join Louis Dreyfus Holding. The transition is part of the evolution of the Group's governance, as planned after Serge Schoen stepped down from the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) position in 2013 to assume the executive chairmanship of Louis Dreyfus Commodities until the appointment of a permanent successor as CEO of the Group. Louis Dreyfus Commodities also announced that its Supervisory Board has appointed Gonzalo Ramírez Martiarena as the company's Chief Executive Officer, with effect from October 1, 2015. Claude Ehlinger will remain Deputy CEO of Louis Dreyfus Commodities and Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Biosev until May 31, 2016. Louis Dreyfus Commodities to Add Glycerine Refinery to its Soybean Crushing and Biodiesel Plant in Claypool, Indiana

Louis Dreyfus Commodities announced that it is adding a glycerine refinery to its soybean crushing and biodiesel plant in Claypool, Indiana, with construction expected to be complete by the end of the year. The new refinery will be producing US pharmaceutical (USP) grade Kosher refined glycerine, with a capacity of 80m lbs/year. The addition of the refinery should allow the plant to process up to 100% of its crude glycerine production into USP-grade Kosher refined glycerine. Located approximately 100 miles southeast of Chicago, the Claypool facility is on the Norfolk Southern railroad and will have the capability to load refined glycerine into trucks as well as tanker railcars.
