For the period, the company reported net sales of $23,527 million, income before tax of $151 million, attributable to owners of the company of $135 million, net cash used in operating activities of $422 million, purchase of fixed assets of $126 million compared to the net sales of $26,393 million, income before tax of $177 million, attributable to owners of the company of $130 million, net cash from operating activities of $396 million, purchase of fixed assets of $129 million for the same period a year ago.

Louis Dreyfus Company B.V. announced that Sandrine Téran, Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), will leave her role effective at the end of the month in order to pursue other opportunities. Mrs. Téran will nevertheless remain with the Group as Corporate Advisor on finance matters over the coming months. Federico Cerisoli, currently CFO for LDC’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region, has been named Interim Group CFO, effective July 1, 2016, pending a more lasting appointment. Mr. Cerisoli joined LDC in 2008 and served in various regional and divisional CFO positions before his appointment to his present role as CFO for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Prior to joining LDC, he worked for over 17 years in finance and business development at commodity trading companies in Argentina, Brazil and the US.

Louis Dreyfus Company B.V. and Amaggi Group reportedly may sell a stake in a new northern Brazil grains terminal, at Itaqui port in Maranhão state. According to Bloomberg, Louis Dreyfus and Amaggi have hired HSBC Holdings Plc to sell part or the entire 25% stake they hold in a terminal at Itaqui. The sale process is already under way, according to the people, who asked not to be named because the discussions are private. Spokesmen for Louis Dreyfus and HSBC declined to comment. A spokesman for Amaggi didn’t respond to messages seeking comment.
