Decathlon Sigs Two Leases in Hebei Province, China

Goodman Group signed two new lease agreements with an existing customer, Decathlon, a leading retailer of french sports apparel and equipment, at the Goodman Citylink development in Hebei Province, China. The project has a total gross floor area of 130,000 sqm and on completion, will have a market value in excess of $100 million. Decathlon, with an extensive retail network worldwide, has signed leases for a combined 57,200 sqm of space in Goodman Citylink, comprising two warehouses of 40,500 sqm and 16,700 sqm respectively. Decathlon will use the facilities at Goodman Citylink to enhance its distribution capability in Northern China.

Decathlon to Open 2,600 Square Metre Store in Bulgaria

Decathlon has earmarked BGN 50 million ($35 million/€26 million) for investment in Bulgaria. The company will open a 2,600 square metre store in the eastern Poduyane neighbourhood in the capital city on November 28, 2013. The new store, which will have 32 employees, complies with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards for environment friendly buildings. It will offer over 30,000 sports goods and has a parking lot for 240 cars and a playground. The company’s new store is part of the company's plan for expansion in the largest cities in Bulgaria which includes new outlets in Varna, Burgas and Plovdiv within the next four years. The retailer plans to open one more store in Sofia in the spring of 2014.
