AlienVault Partners with T-Systems and Deutsche Telekom to Power New Cyber Defense Solution
Mar 16 15
AlienVault announced a partnership with Deutsche Telekom and T-Systems, the ICT division of Deutsche Telekom, to provide 'German Mittelstand' mid-market customers with the ability to detect and mitigate the impact of a breach. T-Systems and Deutsche Telekom are showcasing a new offering, Cyber Defense (CD) for the 'German Mittelstand' small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), for the first time at CeBit, March 16-20, at the Deutsche Telekom stand in hall 4. This solution enables SMEs to detect and defend their networks from professional hackers in real time -- without having to employ their own security experts. Cyber Defense for SMEs utilizes AlienVault's Unified Security Management (USM) platform, which is powered by up-to-the-minute threat intelligence from AlienVault Labs and Open Threat Exchange. The AlienVault USM platform is also part of a comprehensive security system known as the Next Generation Security Operations Center, which is where Deutsche Telekom monitors activities in the SOC to analyze and deal with attacks, while also hosting platform operations at the same time. T-Systems and Deutsche Telekom had noticed that its mid-market customers were struggling with the same issues that plague larger enterprises when it comes to identifying, prioritizing and remediating the most important security threats, but with significantly less budget to allocate to the problem. With so many disparate security issues, the challenge for T-Systems' and Deutsche Telekoms' mid-market customer base was deciding where to invest and ensure that management has all the information they need to identify and deal with the most important risks. The USM platform provides five essential security capabilities in a single console, giving customers everything they need to manage both compliance and threats. Within today's dynamic and evolving threat environment, busy IT security teams don't have the time or the resources to do threat analysis on their own. Instead, they turn to research organizations, like AlienVault Labs and crowd-sourced threat intelligence from AlienVault's Open Threat Exchange, to do the heavy lifting for them.
