DynCorp International Inc. Receives $45.5 Million Contract to Provide Support Services to Iraqi Army

DynCorp International Inc. has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army Contracting Command to provide technical support services to the Iraqi Army in Taji, Iraq. Through this contract, DI will help increase the competence of Iraqi Army maintenance personnel in performing vehicle maintenance and repairs. DI team members will use their expertise to educate Iraqi Army maintenance personnel on proper techniques and procedures to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs independently. This cost-plus fixed-fee contract has a one-year base period valued at $45.5 million with two, one-year options for a total potential value of $139.3 million.
U.S. Air Force Selects DynCorp International to Support Air Force Contract Augmentation Program IV Valued at up to $5 Billion

DynCorp International (DI) has been selected by the U.S. Air Force to provide base operations and logistical support services under the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program IV (AFCAP IV). DI will compete for task orders to provide a full range of base life and operating support and logistical support on an as-required basis. Requirements will focus on contingency skills and resources to support the Air Force, any Department of Defense component, or any U.S. federal government entity operating in support of missions which could include National Command Authority, joint or combined U.S. military forces acting as part of or in conjunction with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization or multinational forces utilizing U.S. government appropriations. DI is one of eight awardees on the competitively-awarded indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ), contract which has one base year with four, one-year options, and a total potential value of $5 billion.

DynCorp International Inc. has named a new chief executive officer. Lewis Von Thaer, formerly of Leidos Holdings Inc., will replace Jim Geisler as CEO. Geisler served as the interim CEO since August 2014 and will stay at DynCorp as a non-executive chairman of the board. Von Thaer previously served as president of the national security sector at Leidos, overseeing cyber, logistics, systems solutions and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
