Lavastorm Analytics announced a major update to Lavastorm Fraud Manager, the company's agile fraud management system, which enables organizations to detect, investigate, and prevent communications fraud. An enhanced reporting and visualization engine provides fraud management teams with additional capabilities to investigate fraud cases and more quickly uncover the root causes of fraudulent activity, while the addition of customizable case types opens the door for organizations to leverage the product's case management, workflow, reporting, and other resolution capabilities outside of fraud, in areas such as revenue assurance or risk management. Lavastorm Fraud Manager, which is used by some of the world's large and most innovative communications and cable companies, including Mobistar and Kabel Deutschland, now includes the latest release of Lavastorm Resolution Center, the company's flexible business improvement management system that provides fraud management organizations with a unified investigation environment, with integrated alarming, case management, reporting, and query capabilities. With the latest version of Lavastorm Resolution Center included, fraud analysts can organize, investigate, and act upon potential fraud more quickly and with greater accuracy than a traditional fraud management system. Fraud analysts can also dynamically query any data source and instantly access context-sensitive data, such as social media profiles. With the flexible case type definition of Lavastorm Resolution Center, Lavastorm Fraud Manager allows customers to leverage its management and investigation capabilities across the enterprise. A single instance of Lavastorm Resolution Center can be used to accelerate resolution in mediation, revenue assurance, risk management, data quality management, process improvement, and defect resolution initiatives. Additional enhancements to Lavastorm Fraud Manager include: Configurable case types -- Case types can be configured for different fraud types, revenue assurance, risk management or other uses. Each case type is associated with distinct facts that aid in reporting on case resolution and a unique workflow definition that guides resolution activity. Improved reporting and visualization capabilities -- The reporting engine has been upgraded which provides additional ad-hoc visualization capabilities, the ability to group reports and sub-reports for basic dashboards, and the ability to filter within defined reports. Additionally, log improvements allow for better display, search, and export of log information. Enhanced search and filtering capability -- Users can search and filter cases by case type or any relevant information contained in the cases. Searches and filters can be saved and re-used on a per user basis. Bulk editing of cases -- Users can edit case facts and case status for multiple cases with a single action, allowing fraud analysts to more quickly update cases and issue more accurate reports.
