Renforth Resources Inc. Commences Pontiac Vein Program
Mar 24 15
Renforth Resources Inc. announce the commencement of a deposit classification study and field program on the Pontiac Vein System. The Pontiac Vein System has been identified in three mineralized horizons within the Pontiac Sediments, located between 100 and 400 metres south of the Thompson-Cadillac Mine Area, which is located within the Cadillac-Larder Lake Fault Zone (also called the Cadillac Break) on the New Alger Property. The prolific Cadillac Break has produced more than 100 million ounces of gold since the 1920's, the Thompson-Cadillac Mine Area sits in the eastern portion of the 1.4 kms. length of the Cadillac Break which bisects the New Alger Property. Within the larger local area the Pontiac Sediments host the Agnico-Yamana Canadian Malartic Mine and, as far as the Company is aware at present, possibly portions of mineralization on other properties on the Break. For Renforth the Pontiac Vein System represents gold mineralization with exploration potential outside of the mine area, in a new setting for this property.
Renforth Resources Inc. Announces Commencement of Data Compilation and Modeling on the Parbec Property
Feb 19 15
Renforth Resources Inc. announced the commencement of data compilation and modeling on the Parbec Property, located adjacent to both the Canadian Malartic Mine Project, jointly owned by Agnico Eagle and Yamana, as well as the Amphi North property, owned by Agnico Eagle, on the Cadillac Break, just outside Malartic, Quebec. Gold mineralization has been identified at Parbec in three shallow zones, currently constrained by an apparent lack of drilling. Renforth is undertaking the data compilation and modeling of the mineralized zones utilizing drilling data, assay results and geological information, in order to better define the extent of the mineralization and determine immediate drill targets. In the same way as Renforth built the first model of the Thompson-Cadillac Mine Area at the company's New Alger Project, Renforth is going to build the first comprehensive geological model for the Parbec Property, this will allow the design of Renforth's subsequent exploration approach. Renforth will explore at Parbec with the goal of defining the first current resource on the Parbec Property, as Renforth did at New Alger.
Renforth Resources Inc. Announces Assays of January, 2015 Drill Program
Feb 10 15
Renforth Resources Inc. announced that the January, 2015 drill program was a success, designed to target four shallow gaps in the existing resource, this program further defined the near surface continuity of the mineralization with gold intersected in each of the four holes drilled. In three of these holes coarse free gold was also encountered. The highlights of the assays received are presented including 41 g/t Au over 0.5m in hole REN-15-24 between 69.8 and 70.3m down the hole. The yellow highlight in the assay table above signifies the samples which included flakes of visible gold in the sample. The gold mineralization is contained within a series of silicified, interbedded intermediate to mafic tuff horizons with strong biotite alteration oriented roughly parallel to the Cadillac Break. There is a strong spatial relationship between gold and arsenopyrite, which is found in the altered tuff units as fine disseminations, and in locally intense concentrations of 1-2 mm needle like blades. The tuffs also host blue grey quartz veins and veinlets ranging in widths from 2 cm to 1.5 m, oriented parallel to the stratigraphy. in hole REN-15-24 in the interval 15.7 – 16.7 m. the visible gold, was contained within a blue grey quartz vein hosted within the arsenopyrite enriched tuff horizon. Interestingly in this case the gold was not confined to fracture faces, but was within the massive quartz. In addition to this the tuffs also host narrow contorted veins that parallel the core axis and often carry coarse visible gold. An instance of this is seen in this program in hole REN-15-26 at where multiple places of visible gold were observed in closely spaced intervals at 67-67.5m, 67.5 – 68m and 69.8 – 70.3m. This second set of mineralized veins and veinlets, which report gold values and contain visible gold, are oriented sub parallel to the direction of drilling. Due to their angle of orientation these may have only been intermittently intersected in drilling to date.
