Rebecca Murphy, head of investment solutions at Praemium, said making a Sipp book acquisition is part of Praemium's plans but would not comment specifically on Carey. My chief executive Michael [Ohanessian] has explicitly said we are looking to acquire a Sipp business, she said. "That is still very much the strategy for Praemium and we are looking at a number of different options; we are not inclined to comment on any of those specifically at this time." Christine Hallett, Chief Executive Officer of Carey Pension, indicated previously that the firm has been "getting approached regularly." However she added the firm is currently not in exclusive talks with any party.
