Securities and Futures Commission Announces Executive Changes

The Financial Secretary has appointed Ms Christina Choi as the Executive Director (Investment Products) of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) for a term of three years from August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2019. The appointment was made with the authority delegated from the Chief Executive under the Securities and Futures Ordinance. Ms Choi was selected through an open recruitment exercise led by a selection panel chaired by the Chairman of the SFC to succeed Julia Leung, who was appointed as the Executive Director (Intermediaries) in June 2016.

The Financial Secretary has appointed Christina Choi as the Executive Director (Investment Products) of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) for a term of three years from August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2019. Choi has worked for the SFC for over 11 years. She is currently the Senior Director (Investment Products) of the SFC and has deep practical experience and expertise in this area, most recently in the formulation of the SFC's strategy to enhance Hong Kong's role as a premier asset management centre. Before joining the SFC, Ms. Choi was a Partner in Clifford Chance from 2001 to 2004. Choi was selected through an open recruitment exercise led by a selection panel chaired by the Chairman of the SFC to succeed Julia Leung, who was appointed as the Executive Director (Intermediaries) in June 2016.

Futures Commission Appoints Christina Choi as Acting Head of Investment Products

Futures Commission (SFC) has appointed Ms. Christina Choi as Acting Head of Investment Products with effect from 19 June 2016. She is currently Senior Director of the Division. Ms. Choi will oversee the Investment Products Division pending the appointment of a permanent Executive Director of Investment Products to replace Ms. Julia Leung who will become Executive Director, Intermediaries on 19 June 2016.
