JSC KazTransGas announced that it has appointed Rustam Suleimanov as Director General (Chief Executive Officer). Kairat Sharipbayev who previously held the position of Director General (Chief Executive Officer) was named Chairman of the board of directors of the company starting from December 11, 2015. Suleimanov previously served as the company's Deputy General Director for Marketing and Commerce and was a member of the Board.
KTO And KTG Merger Will Not Take Place

The proposal on merger of KazTransOil JSC (KAS:KZTO) and KazTransGaz CJSC was made by the Chairman of Samruk-Kazyna State Fund Umirzak Shukeyev during his speech at expanded government meeting on November 18. He explained his idea that the presence of two pipeline companies in the structure of KazMunaiGas is inappropriate. The merger of two subsidiaries of KazMunaiGas JSC – oil transportation company KazTransOil and gas transportation company KazTransGas, according to Mr. Kabyldin, Head of KazTransOil, “It makes no sense – neither economic nor technical. This is my position as an expert,” he added.
KazTransGas and Gazprom Dobycha Kuznetsk to Produce Coalbed Methane

KazTransGas and Gazprom Dobycha Kuznetsk have signed a memorandum of cooperation in exploration and production of coalbed methane in Kazakhstan. The document provides for development of more effective technologies of coalbed production - from geological prospecting to commercial use. To achieve the goals of the project, the parties would exchange information, create joint ventures, and implement a pilot project for exploration and production of coalbed methane.
