Cognios Capital, Llc Announces Executive Changes

Leawood-based Cognios Capital LLC has appointed Clyde Wendel, former vice chairman of UMB Bank, to its advisory board. Wendel, a 44-year financial services veteran, retired from UMB in 2014. Before UMB, Wendel spent 23 years at Bank of America in a variety of executive roles. He's the current vice chairman of the Truman Presidential Library Institute and Powell Gardens. The company also announced that it hired Jack Fletcher as regional manager for its sales team. Fletcher spent the past four years at American Century Investments in Kansas City.

Cognios Capital, LLC Announces Executive Changes

Cognios Capital LLC announced that it had named a new chief executive officer and expanded its sales force. The company said Gary DiCenzo has replaced John Brandmeyer as chief executive. Brandmeyer, who co-founded Cognios in 2008, is now the firm's chairman. DiCenzo had been a consultant to Cognios since January 2014. He previously was president and chief executive of IMC Group, and had served as president of the Scout Funds. The company also named Taylor Dorman as regional vice president. He previously worked at Montage Investments.
