Elsevier Expands Professional Training Solutions With HCPro's Corporate Compliance and HIPAA Libraries

Elsevier announced an agreement to resell HCPro's HIPAA and Corporate Compliance content to hospitals and health systems across the U.S. The new content libraries are available as part of Elsevier's comprehensive ICD and CDI eLearning solutions. HCPro's Corporate Compliance and HIPAA libraries are designed for healthcare organizations (HCOs) - hospitals, health systems and medical groups - eager to achieve compliance with federal regulations such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), False Claims Act, Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act of 2009 (FERA), Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act. Each of the libraries contains seven full-length courses and seven refresher courses all tailored to the specific needs of various healthcare professionals. HCPro Corporate Compliance provides individual courses for nurses, clinicians, physicians, coders, billers and executives, as well as staff in health information management, registration and front desk and nutrition, environmental and volunteer services. Also provided are compliance refresher courses specific to job roles. HCPro HIPAA complements HCPro Corporate Compliance by offering HIPAA information categorized by job role or function, including executive, administrative and corporate staff, business associates, nutrition, environmental services, and volunteer staff, coders, billers and health information management staff, physicians, nurses and clinical staff and registration and front office staff. HCPro announced it has entered into a partnership with Coding Strategies, Inc. This partnership will help to deliver quality content from both HCPro and Coding Strategies and provide broad solutions to clients, creating a unique online learning experience. Under the partnership, HCPro is bringing to its customers the specialty focused online medical coding courses of Coding Strategies. These courses present practical knowhow through detailed instruction on some of the most difficult coding areas. HCPro will be reselling the following online learning libraries: Invasive Cardiology Curriculum, Radiation Oncology Curriculum, Interventional Radiology Curriculum, Diagnostic Radiology Curriculum, and ICD 10CM for Emergency Medicine Curriculum. In turn, Coding Strategies will be reselling HCPro's ICD10 Documentation Training for Physicians. This eLibrary shows physicians how to document specialty specific conditions in ICD 10. Developed and presented by a physician, the online library teaches the importance of documenting a greater level of specificity, highlights what additional information is needed for key diagnoses and procedures, and emphasizes the impact of ICD 10 on the physician.
