UNIQA Bosnia Reports Earnings Results for the First Six Months Ended June 2017

UNIQA Bosnia reported earnings results for the first six months ended June 2017. The company reported first half pre-tax profit from operations in Bosnia increased slightly to €500,000 ($589,300) from €400,000. Total gross written premiums from Bosnian operations dropped by an annual 1.0% to €14.9 million in the six months through June 2017. Gross written premiums from the non-life insurance segment in Bosnia grew 1.0% on the year to €7.0 million in the first half of 2017, while premiums from life insurance lost 3.0% to €7.9 million.

Uniqa Launches New Road Support Product

Uniqa announced that it has launched its new Uniqa S.O.S. product to its clients. The new insurance product will cover car breakdowns, accidents and other similar unpredictable emergency situations, and covers unlimited number of road assistance during the insured period. Meanwhile, annual insurance premium is also considerably more favorable in comparison with other similar products on the market. Uniqa will offer independent signing of the deal, or with an already agreed car insurance policy. Its price has not been disclosed.
