Natural Products Association Announces Executive Appointments

The Natural Products Association announced that Carolyn Behrman of Natural Choices for Healthful Living in Columbus, Ind., has been elected the organization's new Retail Council Chair, while Frank Jaksch of ChromaDex in Irvine, Calif., has been chosen to fill the role of Supply Council Chair. Behrman and Jaksch will serve on the Executive Committee of the NPA Board of Directors. Behrman, founder and owner of Natural Choices for Healthful Living, has been part of NPA's board for eight years, serving also on the Governance, Convention and Communications Committees. She served as a board member for NPA Midwest from 2001 to 2014, and is also a past president of the region. Frank Jaksch, CEO of ChromaDex, has served NPA as a board member since 2012. He founded ChromaDex in 1999 and, under his leadership, has developed an innovative natural products company that provides proprietary ingredients and science-based chemistry solutions to the dietary supplement, food and beverage, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Behrman and Jaksch join President Roxanne Green, president-elect Jon Fiume and Treasurer Mark LeDoux on the 2015 NPA Executive Committee.

Natural Products Association Appoints Adam Finney as Senior Vice President of Member Services

The Natural Products Association appointed Adam Finney to the position of senior vice president of member services. Finney previously served as vice president of member services with NPA for ten years before leaving to pursue a position as vice president of membership and communications at the Food Processing Suppliers Association, where he has worked for the last four years. In his new role, Finney will be directly involved in developing and implementing strategies to grow NPA’s booming membership base.

Natural Products Association Hires Corey Hilmas to Serve as Senior Vice President of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs

The Natural Products Association (NPA) announced that Corey Hilmas, MD, Ph.D., has been hired to serve as its new Senior Vice President of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs. Prior to his most recent position, he served as Senior Toxicologist for Dietary Ingredients at the FDA.
