Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI), a unit of Old Mutual Wealth, has named Cristiano Busnardo as it new country head of Italy. In the newly created role, Busnardo will be responsible for driving the firm’s growth within Italy by nurturing the firm’s established Italian client base and developing relationships with new investors. Busnardo will be based in Milan, and will report to OMGI head of international distribution Allan MacLeod. Busnardo, who has an experience of over two decades in the financial services sector in sales and marketing roles, began his career in 1992 at ING group. He was appointed as the deputy general manager, head of sales for Allfunds Bank, Italian branch in September 2011.
Old Mutual Global Investors Appoints Diego Parrilla as Managing Director for Commodities

Old Mutual Global Investors has unveiled the newly-created role of managing director, commodities to increase its presence in the sector. Diego Parrilla joined the asset manager on August 8 and will report to Paul Simpson, who is investment director at OMGI. Parilla will be responsible for promoting and building the £60 million (€70.2 million) Old Mutual Gold & Silver fund, which was launched in February 2016 and run by Ned Naylor-Leyland. He will also be working with the management team to identify absolute return strategies across precious metals and commodities that fit with client demand and the wider market. Parilla joins the firm from Dymon Asia Capital where he had worked since August 2015. Prior to this Parilla worked as a portfolio manager at Blue Crest Capital Management. He was also managing director head and head of commodites Asia Pacific at Merrill Lynch. Parilla started his career as a precious metals trader at JP Morgan in 1998.

Old Mutual Global Investors has appointed Richard Mo to the newly created role of China business head. Mo will be responsible to develop relationships with regulators, global financial institutions and distributors in the region. He will be based out of OMGI's Hong Kong office, and will report to Asia Pacific managing director Carol Wong. Prior to joining OMGI, Mo worked for 16 years at JP Morgan Asset Management, where he held various roles in a distribution capacity, and building client relationships across Taiwan, Hong Kong and China. Most recently, he served as head of China retail business, responsible for wealth management and client development in retail markets in China, dealing with both Chinese and foreign banks.
