African Export-Import Bank has announced appointment of Kanayo Awani to the post of managing director of its intra-African Trade Initiative. Earlier, Awani was serving as director of Afreximbanks trade finance and branches department, managing the banks business development efforts in trade finance all over Africa. She will now be responsible to manage the execution of the banks intra-African trade strategy.

The African Export-Import Bank and the Export-Import Bank of China Announce to Develop A New $1 Billion-Dollar Investment and Industrialization Programme

The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and the Export-Import Bank of China (China Eximbank) are to develop a new $1 billion-dollar investment and industrialization programme to help accelerate Africas industrialization and enhance trade between the continent and China. The programme, to be implemented in the context of the plan announced by President Xi Jinping of China to dedicate $60 billion towards Africas industrialization in the next 10 years, will be operated as a co-branded product by China Eximbank and Afreximbank.
