For the first quarter, profit has exceeded KZT 10.169 billion compared to KZT 165.178 billion in the same period in 2014. Operating profit of the company amounted to KZT 278.318 million compared with KZT 94.6 billion in the same period of 2014. Revenue amounted to almost KZT 569.714 billion. In the same period of 2014, the revenues amounted to KZT 804.144 billion tenge.

Royal Dutch Shell and KazMunaiGas have opened a world-class geochemical laboratory complex in Atyrau, western Kazakhstan, an Interfax correspondent reported from the ribbon cutting ceremony. The lab complex, which was established at the Kaspiimunaigas research institute, will conduct innovative geochemical research in the area of geological exploration, development and extraction. In addition to standard research for exploration, the lab will use a broad range of new technologies, including geochemical fingerprinting, which will play an important role in tackling current industry problems in Kazakhstan.
