Coursera announced that former Yale University President Richard C. Levin, an advisor to the company since January 2014, to join as CEO in mid-April.

UT and TBR Partner with Coursera Inc. to Pilot Technology for Courses

The University of Tennessee and Tennessee Board of Regents systems are working with Coursera Inc. to develop a pilot program using the company's technology to enhance online and campus-based blended learning courses. The agreement with UT and TBR systems will involve an 18-month pilot program to test Coursera's technology platform for class offerings. Faculty at public universities in Tennessee will teach and prepare a limited number of pilot courses, available to enrolled students, using the company's technology platform as early as this fall. The Tennessee public university pilot will not include massive open online courses. Instead, it will test use of the Coursera course technology platform to enhance student outcomes in two courses in the UT System and two courses in TBR universities. Feedback from faculty and students will be used to determine whether more courses will be offered through the Coursera platform.
University of Nebraska to Work with Coursera to Significantly Expand Access to Online Course Content

University of Nebraska President James B. Milliken announced that NU will begin working with Coursera to expand access to the university's rich course content and talented faculty to significantly more individuals via distance learning. The collaboration will provide NU faculty from all four campuses the opportunity to explore new and enhanced learning technologies that benefit students and advance the university's mission. The partnership also creates new opportunities for faculty to collaborate with their colleagues at different institutions in order to share and discover best practices from a diverse community of education professionals. In addition to the University of Nebraska, nine other universities announced their plans to work with Coursera: the State University of New York (SUNY), Tennessee Board of Regents, University of Colorado, University of Houston System, University of Kentucky, University of New Mexico, University System of Georgia, University of Tennessee and West Virginia University.
