Parsons announced that Jaafar Hillawi has joined the company as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of its environment and infrastructure business unit for the Middle East Africa (MEA) region. In this role, Mr. Hillawi will provide leadership for business development and operational delivery to execute and grow Parsons water, industrial, and oil and gas business in the MEA region. Mr. Hillawi has nearly 40 years of project management, business development, and engineering experience in the design, construction, and start-up of petroleum refineries, gas processing, and infrastructure facilities. Most recently, he managed operations in the MEA region for a large engineering and construction consulting firm. Mr. Hillawi previously worked for Parsons from 1976 to 1996 with assignments in London, England; Pasadena, California; and Saudi Arabia. As part of his last assignment, he was responsible for strategic planning and business development in Saudi Arabia.

Parsons Corporation has opened its new Cyber Solutions Center in Centreville, Virginia. Located in the corporation's Centreville, VA, office, this unique facility enables Parsons to emulate customer architectures, security vulnerabilities, and risk posture and provide testing and demonstrations to enhance and protect the security of customer operating environments. The center is a key component of the company's Cyber Critical Infrastructure Protection Initiative. Parsons' hands-on laboratory provides the ability to demonstrate and analyze the operational technology networks, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems and industrial control systems (ICS) that control all critical infrastructure, building systems, manufacturing systems, medical treatment facilities, water and wastewater, and more. The center enables the development of integrated, actionable solutions tailored to customer-specific risk environments. Using advanced network simulation provided by partner SCALABLE Network Technologies, the new Parsons center can replicate SCADA/ICS networks with connectivity to equipment or control systems and fully evaluate cyber effects on them.
Parsons Receives Contract to Provide Program Management Services for NAICM

Parsons Corporation has received a contract to provide program management services for the New International Airport of Mexico City, or NAICM. Parsons, as prime consultant for the NAICM, is partnered with both a local consulting firm (FOA Consultores) and a global engineering firm (CH2M HILL) for this 6-year contract. Parsons and its partners will provide a wide range of services for Mexico City's new airport, including program/project management, project controls and contract administration, design management, construction management oversight, operational readiness, and airport transfer. This new aviation hub and international gateway will be one of the most sustainable and innovative greenfield airport projects in the Americas. The initial phase of the project will include three runways that can handle 50 million passengers per year. Subsequent phases will add three more runways with an eventual capacity for 120 million passengers per year.
