David Macmillan to Join Transamerica as Chief Customer Experience Officer

Aegon UK managing director David Macmillan is set to leave the business in the summer to join Aegon's American arm. Macmillan will join American insurance firm Transamerica, which Aegon owns, as chief customer experience officer. He joined Aegon in November 2011 from the Invocas Group. He was previously UK retail director at Standard Life.

Transamerica's Investments and Retirement announced new appointments to further strengthen the company's leadership position in the U.S. investment and retirement market. Blake Bostwick, chief marketing officer, has been appointed as the division's chief operating officer, following the departure of Alice Hocking. In addition, Bill Noyes, senior vice president of client relationship development has been appointed to the newly created position of senior vice president of retirement plan operations as they relate to Transamerica's U.S. retirement business, and Kevin Edwards, currently vice president of client compliance and consulting services, will move into the role of national director of institutional markets client management. Bostwick has held senior level positions across the organization including positions in sales, marketing, technology, analytics, and operations. He has been a key driver in Transamerica's continued growth and drive to provide the best customer experience. Blake brings to his new role 13 years of experience with Transamerica in operations, technology and marketing. He has served as chief operations officer for annuity and mutual funds business, and has demonstrated a deep understanding of all aspects of business.
Transamerica Appoints Michael F. Consedine as Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel & Executive Director of Government Affairs

Transamerica announces the appointment of Michael F. Consedine as Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel & Executive Director of Government Affairs, overseeing all aspects of the company's state and Federal government relations. Mr. Consedine has spent his entire 20-year career in the insurance industry, as a regulator, policy advisor and counsel. Most notably, he served as the Insurance Commissioner for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from 2011 to 2015. In addition, Mr. Consedine served as President-Elect and in other officer positions within the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), during which time he chaired a number of NAIC committees focused on matters of international and domestic relevance for the U.S. insurance sector. In 2011, he was named by the U.S. Treasury Department as a member of the Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance, charged with advising the Federal Insurance Office on domestic and international policy. Mr. Consedine also served as a U.S. representative on bi-lateral discussions with the European Union on mutual recognition of each jurisdiction's insurance systems and was an Executive Committee member of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors. Prior to his time as Commissioner, Mr. Consedine was a Partner and Vice-Chair of Saul Ewing LLP'sInsurance Practice Group.
