Telefonica Germany Unveils Voice Access SIP for SME's
Mar 17 15
Telefonica Germany has announced the launch of a new fixed-line product, dubbed Voice Access SIP, aimed at small business customers. The product is intended to help SME's switch from a conventional ISDN system to one based on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), enabling them to process calls via an IP connection. By changing to SIP-based connection, companies will also be able to run just one central telephone system and to connect further locations via a virtual private network (VPN), resulting in significant installation, operation, maintenance and administration savings. In addition, all calls to the O2 mobile and fixed-line network are free of charge at all times, allowing companies to add employees with private O2 contracts to the system at very low cost. Voice Access SIP will be available starting 01 April and can be combined with other Telefonica business-oriented offerings, such as O2 Unite or Digital Phone by O2.
