Mars appointed Andy Pharoah as a new member of its management team, as the Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Strategic Initiatives. Andy will take over the role from David Kamenetzky who is leaving Mars to start his own business. David's Corporate Strategy responsibilities will shift to CFO Claus Aagaard. David has been a valued counsellor to the Mars leadership team and Board of Directors. He has made an invaluable contribution by guiding and transforming Mars' approach towards Corporate Strategy and Corporate Affairs. He has helped Mars to engage with the external world more effectively, and pushed to incorporate external insights into the business. Andy Pharoah brings a strong background in international corporate and public affairs to his new role. Andy joined Wrigley Corporate Affairs in Munich in 2008 and has led Wrigley Corporate Affairs based in Chicago since 2009. Over the last four years, he has expanded his accountabilities to also lead Sustainability and Strategy for the Wrigley segment. Andy joined Wrigley from International PR agency Hill & Knowlton. His early career was in UK politics. Together with a partner, David will be starting his own independent business which will invest in small and medium sized high-growth businesses in food, beverages and ingredients. Andy began transitioning into the role over the summer and formally took up his new role as Vice President Corporate Affairs and Strategic Initiatives on September 1, 2016.
Mars Reportedly Seeks To Acquire Buffett's Interest in Wrigley

Mars, Incorporated is planning to acquire Warren Buffett's minority interest in Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company to fully integrate the chewing gum maker with its own operations, the Financial Times reports. Mars will buy the 19.38% stake that Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway holds in Wrigley for an undisclosed amount, the report says.
