StubHub Rolls Out New Ticket Recommendation and Instant Relist Features to Enhance Search, Discovery, and Customer Experience
Feb 1 16
StubHub announced the launch of a new ticket recommendation feature that will enhance the personalized experience currently available on the e-commerce platform. The “best value” sort option, available on desktop, mobile Web and StubHub’s native iOS and Android app, empowers fans to quickly identify great deals, experience more clarity during the ticket discovery process, and make more informed purchasing decisions. StubHub consistently sells one ticket per second across its immense marketplace, and as a result the company has access to a rich transactional dataset to determine how customers assess seat quality and value. The sophisticated algorithm behind the new best value filter considers this proprietary historical data, as well as price, location, and availability. In addition to viewing tickets by best value, users will continue to have the option of adjusting the filter to search for tickets by price or location. In addition to the new best value offering, Stubhub has also integrated “instant relist” functionality on desktop, mobile Web and StubHub’s native iOS and Android apps. Fans who purchase tickets on StubHub but then cannot attend their event can now easily relist their tickets directly back to the marketplace. The feature allows fans to easily modify how many tickets they’re relisting, the price per ticket and where to send the payment, streamlining the process. In offering these new additions to the platform experience, StubHub joins leading e-commerce companies in prioritizing best-in-class customization and convenience tools for users. The features are the latest in a series of enhancements from StubHub that continually improve the user experience, arriving shortly after the launch of more personalized display options for pricing, as well as a redesigned mobile app with improved recommendation algorithms and discovery engines.

StubHub and BandPage Announce Partnership to Allow Musicians Opportunity to Sell Merchandise and Special Offers
May 5 15
StubHub and BandPage announced a partnership that will mark an unprecedented opportunity for musicians to be able to generate revenue on the ticket marketplace. The partnership will integrate offers from musicians’ BandPage profiles into StubHub, allowing musicians to sell VIP packages, merchandise and other offers within what is already one of the biggest catalogue of tickets for live events in the world. The partnership will provide opportunities for musicians to reach fans in the following ways: StubHub will show fans the available items for sale in musicians’ BandPage Stores as they proceed through the checkout flow on StubHub properties; StubHub will also leverage their unique insights into musicians’ biggest fans and reach them directly through email with highly targeted offers; BandPage will empower musicians with the ability to curate their profiles across StubHub, including StubHub Music, a new mobile concert discovery app for iOS that scans user’s iTunes and Spotify libraries to alert them when their favorite artists are performing at local venues; Musicians will be able to control their profile picture, bio and more on these properties directly from their BandPage Profile. This partnership creates a more comprehensive end-to-end experience for music fans on StubHub, giving them convenient access to more than just the ticket for the live events that they want to attend.
