StubHub Becomes Exclusive Ticket Marketplace of Naval Academy Athletics

StubHub has signed a multi-year agreement with the Naval Academy Athletic Association, making it the Exclusive Ticket Marketplace of Naval Academy Athletics. The agreement is in partnership with Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement, provider of integrated ticketing and marketing services. The agreement with Navy includes ticketing integration and sponsorship rights for all on-campus football and men’s basketball events. This is StubHub’s first full integrated partnership that also includes sponsorship with an Armed Forces program, and builds on its position as a major partner and sponsor in the collegiate space, working with more than 40 Division I universities. Through StubHub’s strategic partnership integration with industry-leader Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement, Navy season ticket holders will access StubHub as the exclusive ticket marketplace of the Midshipmen. The service is a fully integrated ticketing platform, which allows season- and single-game ticket holders the opportunity to resell tickets with confidence and ease on the ticket marketplace, while also providing buyers a safe and secure shopping experience, with instant tickets upon purchase, via mobile delivery or print-at-home. As part of the agreement, StubHub will receive sponsorship and marketing assets, including digital and in-venue advertising and hospitality for on-campus football and men’s basketball events, plus co-branded email and social media promotions.

Perkins Miller Joins StubHub as General Manager for North America

StubHub announced that Perkins Miller has joined the company as general manager for North America. In this role, he will focus on growing StubHub’s business in North America and exploring new ways of partnering within the events and experiences industry. Miller joins StubHub from NFL Media. His two decades’ worth of experience in traditional and digital media, as well as his work with global events such as the Olympic Games, will help guide StubHub’s strategies across mobile, social and other innovative technology platforms like virtual reality, and his background in sports and entertainment will complement StubHub’s efforts in the industry.

StubHub Becomes Official Fan-To-Fan Marketplace of the NASL's Minnesota United FC

StubHub has announced a new partnership with Minnesota United FC, in which it will be the official fan-to-fan ticket marketplace of the North American Soccer League club team and 2017/18 Major League Soccer expansion team. As the official fan-to-fan ticket marketplace for Minnesota United FC, StubHub will provide integrated ticket barcoding through its partnership with Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement for the 2016 NASL season. Along with leading ticketing solutions provider, Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement, the partnership enables barcode integration for ticket holders to seamlessly resell their tickets on StubHub and in turn, provides tickets that are digitally delivered to the buyer. In addition, fans have access to print-at-home tickets and streamlined listings to sell unused tickets. The partnership with Minnesota United FC is effective immediately for the 2016 NASL season, which the team kicks off on April 2, 2016.
