It provides retail electric service to approximately 470,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers in the city of Indianapolis and neighboring cities, towns and communities, and adjacent rural areas within Indiana. Indianapolis Power & Light Company has opened its new business call center to improve service to business customers. By calling 317-261-8444, business customers can have easier and faster access to trained Customer Service Representatives for all business needs, including billing inquiries, service connections and information about IPL's energy efficiency programs. Along with the new business call center, IPL will also offer a dedicated business email account for customers who prefer to have their inquiries or requests completed via email. The new email address is businesscustomerservices@aes.com.
