Garcia has been selected to the Board of Directors for the iconic Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, which has handed out more than $375 million in student scholarships since its founding in 1932. Mr. Garcia currently serves on the Legal Advisory Committee of the highly regarded rodeo organization, which operates through a network of 30,000 volunteers. Mr. Garcia also serves as a Senior Vice Chairman of the Shows Go Tejano Committee. That group alone is responsible for raising roughly half a million dollars each year. Mr. Garcia currently is completing his term as president of the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston.
